drop ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the app accesses, how it is used, and your choices.

1. Data We Collect

drop is designed to keep your data on your device. We do not operate servers that store your personal information. The following data is involved in using the app:

Water intake logs — stored locally on your device via app storage. If iCloud Sync is enabled, your logs are synced through Apple's iCloud Key-Value Store directly between your own devices.
Health data — with your permission, drop reads and writes water intake data to Apple Health (HealthKit). This data never leaves Apple's ecosystem.
Location — used only to fetch local weather for smart hydration goal adjustments. Your location is sent to a weather API to retrieve temperature data; it is not stored or shared beyond that request.
Onboarding preferences — your weight, height, age, activity level, and goal are stored locally to personalise your experience.

2. In-App Purchases

drop uses RevenueCat to process in-app purchases (drop Pro). RevenueCat may collect anonymous purchase event data to verify your subscription status. Your payment information is handled entirely by Apple — we never see or store it. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.

3. How We Use Your Data

To track and display your daily hydration progress.
To sync your data across your own devices via iCloud (if enabled).
To write your drink logs to Apple Health (if enabled).
To adjust your daily goal based on local weather conditions.
To verify your drop Pro subscription status.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. The only external services involved are Apple (HealthKit, iCloud, App Store), RevenueCat (purchase verification), and a weather API (anonymous location-based requests).

5. Data Retention & Deletion

All your data lives on your device. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data. iCloud data can be cleared from your iCloud settings. Health data can be removed from the Apple Health app.

6. Children's Privacy

drop is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects when changes were made. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
